Prayerdemic Prayers – Holiness is Not Cancelled
Please join me in praying this scriptural prayer for America. Let’s agree together in prayer for repentance, revival and restoration. We quote 2 Chronicles 7:14 often. Let’s be sure we have truly repented, and pray that others will truly repent as well. For God calls us to holiness, as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16).
Heavenly Father, we come to You as our holy Creator and Father. You have saved us and called us to a holy life–not because of anything we have done but because of Your own purpose and grace, which was in Christ Jesus from the beginning of time (2 Timothy 1:9). How awesome are Your works (Psalm 92:5)!
Lord, it is You who has all the power to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). You have all knowledge of our lives and of what is going on in America and in the world. Not a single thing is hidden from You (Proverbs 15:3). So it is to You we pray and trust.
Lord, we confess we have fallen far short of Your Glory and holiness (Romans 3:23). We have not loved You with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mathew 22:37). We have allowed the comforts we’ve been blessed with in our nation to lead us away from You and You’re ways. We have allowed sin to infest our land like a virus. You are holy and just, and You do not allow sin to go unpunished (2 Corinthians 5:10). But thank You that You are patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9). Please forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Help us to truly repent – to turn from these wicked ways, to return to You and Your ways and seek You with all our heart (Jeremiah 29:12-13). Help us to realize the blessing on our lives when we obey You (Psalm 33:12), for You, as a loving and perfect parent, want our good. Your plans are for our good and not evil; You give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). And when we come and pray and truly confess and turn from our wicked ways, You will hear from Heaven and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
So search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in Your everlasting way (Psalm 139:23-24).
Please lead our country back to You. We pray for You to guide our leadership in righteousness (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Lord, we pray people’s eyes to be opened and ears would hear, that they turn their hearts back to You and Your ways, the only ways that have ever worked, the way that blessed this country to begin with. Our Father, deliver us from evil (Matthew 6:13). What our enemies mean for evil, turn it back on them (Psalm 94:13) and turn it for our good (Genesis 50:20).(click to tweet) And let all people see that it is You that have done it (Psalm 46:8-10).
In the holy name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray.
Thank you for praying this prayer with me. I hope it has been a blessing to you. May God bless America and all those who follow His ways. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Psalm 33:12
Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NLT

My passion is for people to turn, or return, to God and pray more. The Bible says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” I believe if we turn to God and His ways, as it says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, God will heal our land.
If you would like to pursue God through prayer more deeply, I encourage you to read my book, Pursuing Prayer – Being Effective in a Busy World. This book will give you a better understanding of the importance and power of prayer, inspire you to want to pray more and help to make your prayers more powerful and effective.
