Is America Terminal?

Is America terminal or is there still hope?

If you’ve been following my blog for some time, you know my heart is passionate about the state of our country and world. A friend sent me a short video that sums up my thoughts, so for my blog and video this time, I’d like to share the link to that video, which makes some key points (video link at end).

America is running faster and faster away from her roots that made her great. Imagine the deep commitment and resolve our founding fathers and everyone who ever fought for this country had to have to stand up for faith and freedom as they did. In the video, the pastor talks about “extreme Christianity.” I think that’s what real Christianity looks like to people these days – extremism. We have begun a time of being persecuted for our faith. It may not be “extreme” persecution yet, but it appears to be coming and coming quickly. The enemy has amped up his evil, and it is “extreme.” Have you noticed? (click to tweet)

However, extreme Christianity is what God intended and what our founding fathers had. We were meant to “love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our might” (Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30, Luke 10:27, ).

We were supposed to teach God’s principles “diligently” to our children, talking about them when we sit in our houses, when we walk about our day, when we lie down and when we rise (Deuteronomy 4:9, 6:7).

We were to be “holy,” as He is holy (Leviticus 11:44, 1 Peter 1:16).

What would extreme Christianity look like for you and me in our lives today?

If we don’t embrace extreme [true] Christianity, faithfully committing to God’s ways of living – not just what’s common, comfortable or convenient – fervently praying and fasting for revival, we may be about to see trouble like we have never known in our generations. In the video, the pastor mentions “the cost.” We can do the hard thing and pay now or we can sit back and pay later, but the interest to paying later will be unmanageable. As the pastor says in the video, “Look what’s on the line.” (Hint: our children!)

So, is America terminal, or is there still hope? (click to tweet)

There is always hope in prayer, whether it be for America, our families, or whatever you are hoping for. Prayer may very well be our only hope.

He said in the video we need to put feet to our faith. Let’s put knees to our faith.

Let’s get on our knees and pray and fast for America and our families.

Listen to the under six-minute video, “America Has Stage 4 Cancer But There is Hope,” here.

But Peter…knelt down and prayed and…presented her alive. Acts 9:40-41

The video reminds me of an article I wrote a while back, “Our Greatest Need in These Unsettling Times.” You can find it on here.

If you’d like some ideas on how to pray for America, I wrote a blog about it here, “How Can We Pray for America?”

Seems like this is what we have been reading more and more these days. We have become so complacent with our faith ~ Lord forgive us.
