Prayedemic Prayers – His Call to Return to Him Is Not Cancelled

God’s call for us to return to Him is not cancelled – yet.

‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the LORD of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the LORD of hosts. Zecharaih 1:3

Did you watch the simulcast or replay of the The Return, a gathering in our nation’s capitol organized by Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn? Thousands attended and watched on line to pray for our nation’s repentance and return to God. It took place on Saturday, September 26 at the same time Rev. Franklin Graham had planned, unbeknownst to either of them at first, a prayer march around the capitol. In addition, Cahn said God told him to have this sacred assembly on that date, not realizing a Jewish holy day called “Shabbat Shuvah” falls on the very same day this year. Shuvah means “the return.” It is a day established for a nation to return to God and His ways .

While Cahn’s event ensued with much prayer, excellent speakers and worship, thousands marched around the capitol with Graham, stopping at specific points to pray. I watched all day, choking up several times at the thought of what our nation was and what it has become. So many gave their life to provide our freedoms, including our religious freedom, which was their main objective. It makes me emotional again writing about it. The enemy has always been trying to destroy this freedom, and that is evident more than ever now.

My heart grieved as I listened to Jonathan Cahn speak of America’s turning away from its Biblical foundation and its current spiritual condition. After 9/11, people flocked to churches around the country. But it didn’t last. Our nation has sunk even deeper into sin since then. We hear 2 Chronicles 7:14 quoted often. We want God to heal our land, but are we truly repentant? And so this question remains: will we genuinely return in this time of crisis, or will we ignore God’s call to return and pass the point of no return?

I want to tell you everything Cahn said, but I could not do his message justice. I implore you to give it a listen. It will be one of the most important messages you will ever hear. Set aside the time to listen. I’m posting this close to the weekend in hopes you’ll be able to make time. Don’t miss this critical message!

Oh Father, help us to truly repent of our personal sins and the sins of our nation. Open eyes and awaken hearts to Your love and truth. Give us the desire to follow Your ways once again. You bless the nation that follows You and Your commandments (Psalm 33:12). We were once a Christian nation and You greatly blessed us, and the world was blessed through us. Help us to return to that foundation. We need You, Lord. O God, heal our land, we pray! In the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior, Amen!

Thanks for stopping by and praying with me. Let’s keep praying fervently for America. Join the conversation in the comments here or on social media. Did you watch The Return and/or the Prayer March? Were you fortunate to be there? What are your thoughts?

Thank you Penny, for each of your prayers over the past weeks and for your persistence in reminding (me!) how easily prayer can get lost in my busy life. I had to work so I wasn’t able to watch, thanks too for the links!

Wonderful call to pray for our country. We news true repentance in order to bring about true change. I pray that your words will continue to encourage others to pray for country’s final call of repentance so that revival will sweep our land and we can accomplish the will of God:
“Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew‬ ‭28:18-20‬

Yes, true repentance is the only thing that will bring about change no matter who is in office. Thanks for praying with me for revival, Oneida! xo
